The Literacy Council of Sarasota (‘LCS’) can develop tailored ESL classes for your organization and deliver them through weekly small group instruction for up to fifteen adults per class at your site - a location they know and trust.

The Literacy Council of Sarasota offers the following options to help maximize employees’ learning objectives and goals as well as those of your organizationL

  • English as a second language classes for a maximum of fifteen employees per class.

  • We strongly encourage two 90-minute classes per week scheduled to meet your business needs and employees’ schedules.

  • You can choose a term for each class. We recommend a minimum of 6-12 months.

  • Classes are delivered on-site at your premises if there is adequate classroom space available (e.g., a large conference or training room with tables, chairs, whiteboard and wi-fi)

  • Conduct listening, speaking, reading, writing or whatever combination choose, pre and post assessments online.

  • Work with your management team on curriculum development to customize the instruction to include workplace vocabulary and English communication skills.

  • Incorporate other needed education including Health, Financial, or digital literacy as part of the program as deemed appropriate by you.

  • Provide learners with class evaluations on a frequent basis to provide feedback from the students to LCS to help us identify program class improvements and enhancements.

  • Keep attendance records weekly and provide via Google Drive to Your organization Group Management so you have access to updated attendance weekly.

  • Provide a written report with observations, comments, and recommendations for moving forward.
