Teaching English as a Second Language to Adults

Volunteer Opportunity:
Work with our educated, resilient, self-directed, and motivated adults by helping them to learn English as a second language so they may navigate life in the United States and continue on their path to achieve educational and employment goals.

Training: In-person training for this volunteer opportunity is provided.

Qualities to Bring with You:  

  • Passion to help adult education & language learners achieve their educational and career goals and become thriving, contributing members of our community.

  • Strong verbal communication skills

  • Resourcefulness 

  • Motivator, supporter, and cheerleader

Time Commitment: Between 2 to 4 hours per week for a minimum of 4 months.  May work with up to 2 adult learners at a time depending on their individual needs.

Other: Ideal volunteer opportunity for individuals who are looking to make a positive impact on adult learners in our community. Individuals with flexible schedules, working from home, recently retired, and college students looking for volunteer hours in the human services or adult education fields.
